i'm all excited now. would have to tune down a little bit i guess! :-) the most awaited event is approaching! yee-haa.. i'm counting days! i pray it's gonna be a great one. insya Allah..
i invited a few close friends over last Sunday. thank you for coming friends! it's really the miracle of Syawal.. i got to meet friends who I have not met eversince I graduated and also had the first chat face-to-face with a new friend I have never spoken to before. was expecting some primary school friends, but they couldn't make it. otherwise it would be even more 'syahdu"..hehhee.. it's ok. maybe next time. i didn't snap so many pictures unfortunately as i was busy entertaining the guests and totally forgot about the camera. to friends who didn't get the invitation, i am really-really sorry. it was kind of last minute plan, so we didn't manage to get a caterer. so with my very limited skill when it comes to "stuff" in the kitchen and with only 1 great cook (that's my mum) and no helper (my bro and sis couldn't come earlier..as i said, it was last minute plan), i really need to keep the guest list as short as possible. insya Allah next time will plan it way earlier... i would say 80% of the invited guests turned up, so it was good! alhamdulillah...
this week, the boss is here.. no, he didn't make my life miserable at all.. in fact it has been even more fun i guess.. at least we did crack some jokes and it gave me a good laugh.. rather than the usual "good morning" then "bye".. maybe because I only see him for 1 week out of 365 days.. couldn't imagine if he's around all the time.. hehe.. i have almost forgotten how it feels having the boss just a few cubicles away and having to explain things to them face-to-face when you've already put everything in the emails :-) gosh! it doesn't sound fun at all, does it.. so let things stay the way they are now.. boss is still sleeping when i start work, 5pm boss says "it's already late. go home!!" and on friday evening boss says "there's always next week!!".. couldn't ask for more :-) and yeah, i do expect to see stack of stroopwaffles on my desk when i get back to the office later, ok boss?! :-)
erina is of course getting smarter by the day. i can hold a real conversation with her now. we talked about shoes, what she wanted to buy (oh yes, she has her own shopping list stored somewhere in her head..heheh), she told me about her friends who like to come over to watch cartoon with her, she back herself up for making a girl cried at the playground.. now she refuses to put on the diapers during day time so she will alert us when she needs to go to the toilet.. she can even sit on the toilet bowl to do her business now.. she was not even potty trained.. her vocabulary has also improved very much.. thanks to channel 613!
alhamdulillah.. i thank Allah swt for making this journey a wonderful one, despite all the pain, the troubles, the never ending disturbance, the tears.. great friends, good job, understanding boss, wonderful family, intelligent and healthy Erina and him very close in my heart.. they are a gift! i just need to keep watching my iman and pray that Allah swt will grant me with more of it everyday. may I not forget that all these happened because Allah swt has allowed them to happen. life moves on, i will give it the best i can, and i pray Allah swt will always show me the way.insya Allah.
